Bill of Materials Administrator
Job Tasks:
• Import external files into the PDM system
• Create ECOs (Engineering Change Orders)
• Attach the correct parts, documents, SKUs and BOMs to the ECO
• “Redline” (indicate changes) the attached entitles
• Submit the ECOs for approval
• Document packaging information and enter into the appropriate system
• Create Change Requests in the PDM system for approved CRB requests
• Generate reports on project metrics
Key areas of Responsibility:
• Create new components and BOMs in the PDM (product data management) system
• Create variations of existing BOMs and components
• Change existing BOMs to add new components or update existing ones
• Develop knowledge of product line and country specific variations
• Create simple Technical Product Documents—i.e. label placement specifications
• Support CRb activities by creating CRs (change requests) and producing project metrics reports
• Upload external documents into the PDM system for release
• Check out new commercial 12NC numbers in CTV Doc
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
• High School Diploma required, Associate of Arts degree preferred
• 3+ years progressive related work experience to include direct involvement in product BOM structure, particularly in the early stages
• Ability to understand and interpret packaging drawings
• Ability to understand and/or create detailed packaging assembly documents
• Experience in BOM in all stages of production
