This position requires demonstrated project management and leadership ability combined with in-depth skills and specific expertise in project development and execution.
· Assigned projects will center on delivering end user computing solutions and include:
· Office 2007 upgrade
· Projector/Polycom installation in all UCOP conference rooms
· Windows 7 upgrade
· Implementation of a standard web conferencing capability across UCOP
· Hardware deployment
· Updating UCOP Conference Room data on Outlook
· Planning and implementation of replacement of current printer/copiers with Network printer/copiers
· Planning and implementation of a software/hardware asset tracking tool
· Planning and implementation of new online request forms for the Tech Desk
· Upgrade HEAT to version 9
· OCTEL and PBX Upgrades
· Implementation of a new imaging solution
· Planning, creation and implementation of a New Hire Orientation brochure
· Customer surveys
· Preparation for conversion to a new desktop/laptop vendor

- Bachelors Degree in business or technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly desired.
- Five years experience in project management including experience in project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling and closing for a large, complex project.
- At least three years experience as an IT project manager.
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work on cross-functional teams and foster the team's commitment to tasks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms and complex business concepts in technical terms
- Self motivated and independent, able to work with a minimum of supervision and able to work well with stakeholders and project staff
- Strong familiarity with project management software including Microsoft Project server version, SharePoint and MS Office.
- Deep knowledge of best project management practices through relevant experience.
- Ability to plan and organize work and deliverables.Able to lead teams to consensus decisions on complex business and technical data challenges
- Able to integrate / synthesize broad and diverse inputs and large amounts of information to formulate cohesive data architecture strategies and solutions
