Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate openings for Electronic Technicians on a Contract-Hire opportunity with a leading Manufacturing Company in Lincolnton, NC. These positions will start Mid-January 2009.

In this position candidates will …

Summary: Perform routine testing, adjustment and repair of electronic printed circuit board and top-level assemblies. Troubleshoot to the component level. Develop reports and recommendations for continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. Work within manufacturing team and provide technical support to associates.


Duties & Responsibilities
· Read and comprehend test procedures, performance specifications, bills of material and schematics. Apply them to the test and repair of printed circuit boards and finished products. Make recommendations for improvements.
· Should be comfortable with the use of complex electronic test equipment; DMM, frequency counter, oscilloscope, vectorscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.
· Troubleshoot surface-mount and thru-hole electronic assemblies to the component level and repair to IPC-A-610 standards.
· Promote continuous improvement by collecting and reporting detailed data when necessary.
· Navigate and use common office software programs on desktop PC.
· Provide feedback and technical support to manufacturing teams to improve workmanship and quality.
· Other duties may be assigned


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

· Minimum of 2 year degree in Electronics/Engineering or equivalent experience
· Solid understanding of electronic theory
· Ability to rework and repair printed circuit boards, excellent soldering skills.
· Basic mechanical assembly skills.
· Basic desktop computer skills.
· Effectively communicate with co-workers, engineers and other team members.
· Understand and use electronic measurement equipment: spectrum analyzers, video generators, oscilloscopes, function generators, etc.
