Responsible for all aspects of collections relating to delinquent Publishing & Promotional accounts for various regions
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple high profile tasks
Strong outbound telephone experience
Collection of outstanding invoices via telephone and email
Notifies customers of unpaid balances according to due dates
Researches disputed delinquent account balances, corrects any errors including any misapplied payments or payments on account
Responds to incoming calls and resolves client inquiries
Research disputed charges, process credit card payments, prepare payment plans as needed
Review and process all incoming payments to ensure it is applied accurately
Process monthly billing and account reconciliation as needed
Send out daily correspondence to customers to encourage payment of delinquent accounts
Notifies Director of Credit and Collections of merchants failing to respond to collection efforts monthly.
Documents all action and conversations in customer notes
Daily credit card batching and provides the Director of Credit & Collections with a weekly report of charges.
Recommend accounts for submission to external agencies for further collection proceeding
Meet regularly with Director of Collections to review outstanding AR by categories of 30,60,90+days
Perform any other duties as assigned
Must process organizational and analytical skills to obtain the highest results in payments on past due accounts. Ability to prioritize workload and flexible to work on several projects at a time.
Strong communication skills
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; two year minimum collections experience.
