Mortgage Quality Control Analyst

Position is responsible for preparing loan files to submit to end investor or MI company based on the underwriting requirements at time of origination. Requires due diligence re-underwrite and identification of missing documents based on AUS findings or manual underwrites. Team mate will be required to contact LOB, appraiser, settlement agent or borrower to obtain missing credit documents or post close documents. Team mate will be required to identify and present to end investor compensating factors when necessary to prevent repurchases. Team mate will be required to work closely with the Repurchase and MI Rescind team in obtaining and reviewing additional missing documents and providing feedback on exceptions identified during re-underwrite. This position requires knowledge of mortgage processing, underwriting, and strong communication skills. Teammate must be able to work under strict deadlines. Team mate may be required to assist in training and be assigned to special projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

Five years of mortgage banking experience
Three years of underwriting experience OR
equivalent work experience as a seasoned mortgage loan processor or due diligence underwriter

Position Requirements:

Functions as a group leader in a centralized operation by assisting in the training, assigning, and overseeing the work of lower level underwriters. Assists manager in general administrative duties such as accounting for time-off and preparing reports on the success of the unit. Contacts difficult and complex loan applications. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree; 5+ years experience
