Win4Youth
Helping individuals gain skills that improve their employability is a core competency of Adecco Group. The range of our activities and services is vast, and we took our commitment to support skills development to a new level in 2010 with the launch of our Win4Youth program. This global initiative gives colleagues the opportunity to actively contribute and showcase our Team Spirit, Entrepreneurship and Responsibility by participating in athletic events and raising funds that help children and young people in difficult situations gain new perspectives.
In 2010, Adecco colleagues from around the world joined together locally and in global teams to complete a total of 228,002 km (more than five times around the world) for six selected foundations. The Adecco Group funded every kilometer completed and the money raised was donated to India, Haiti, Chile, France, Spain and the USA. The National Urban League was selected as one of those foundations ( to view images of last year’s program). All foundations have a clear focus on educating and finally integrating young people into the labor market. One of the highlights of the Win4Youth 2010 initiative was the participation of 62 colleagues from all continents in the New York City Marathon on November 7, 2010
After the enthusiastic response to our first initiative, we have found an exciting new challenge to raise money for three foundations and live our core values actively. In 2011, we will join together again – this time on wheels. All colleagues in more than 60 countries throughout the company are invited to participate in local biking events. Our global Win4Youth challenge this year is to cycle once around the globe every month. In addition, 70 colleagues will be trained to cycle up Mont Ventoux in France in September 2011. We are very proud to count on Eddy Merckx as the godfather of our Mont Ventoux team.
The three foundations we are supporting in 2011 are located in Latin America, Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe. All three foundations share a common purpose, which is to give under privileged children the education they need for their future work and life. The foundations are as follows: Brazil: Social circus in Rio de Janeiro; Greece: Community homes for children; Philippines: Boys home in Cebu.
