Customer Service Representative – San Jose, CA
$50K Salary + Bonus
Our client is a privately held international company with multiple locations across the globe including a newly opened location in CA. They have been in business for more than 40 years and are a leader within their manufacturing industry.
This highly customer focused position is aimed at providing customers with the best possible service in terms of quotations, product information, order processing and delivery information while working in close cooperation with the East Coast US Headquarters located near Boston, the outside sales staff and the Global Headquarters in Switzerland.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Transact orders received via email, telephone, direct access to customer systems, and fax utilizing the company’s Order Management System.
Manage and control consigned inventory assets to meet customer and asset management objectives. Work closely with customers and off-site sales staff to obtain and validate consigned inventory consumption forecasts. Load forecasts into the company’s Order Management system and submit appropriate purchase orders to sister manufacturing company in Switzerland. Work with product groups to resolve issues/answer queries.
Ensure that supporting customer purchase orders are received and kept as backup.
Place and expedite orders with our sister manufacturing company in Switzerland. Manage shipping instructions in the system,
Be proactive in communicating problems and/or delays with customers.
Review and expedite backorders.
Work with accounts receivable and field sales engineers to resolve customer problems
May perform duties of a telephone operator, directing calls.
QUALIFICATIONS:
College Degree (preferred)
3+ years of related experience.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to function independently and multi-task.
Computer skills – proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Office applications
Our client offers a fast-paced, enjoyable work environment that is focused on providing the very best service and support for our broad array of customers. The position offered is a new position at their brand new office located just north of San Jose.
Travel may also required to our headquarters (Boston, MA) for training initially and in the future Position requirements are to report to the San Jose office Monday–Friday 8-5 (1 hour lunch).
