Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for a Field Engineer on a contract opportunity with a leading company in the medical device industry.



The Field Engineer will be responsible for the deployment, installation, maintenance, training, and technical support of the Care Innovations’ product QuietCare at a customer site. The scope includes system installation and problem resolution for the technical deployments at customer sites as well as ongoing technical customer support. The Field Engineer will be the on-site supervisor for installation contractors and responsible for ensuring the appropriate installation of products. The Field Engineer will work directly with all levels of the customers’ employees as well as patients/mature adults. The position will also include proactive maintenance efforts, and preparation/delivery of product as needed. Responsibilities will include other customer operations duties as assigned and as needed to ensure customer success.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience or capability in the following areas:

Installation, configuration and troubleshooting IT and/or medical device networked products (medical device preferable)
Inventorying, preparing, testing, shipping product with a high quality approach
Excellent Customer Service Skills especially with elderly adults and customer management
Working within a Quality Management System
Working with Personal Health Information and Personally Identifiable Information


Multi-disciplinary capabilities are highly desirable; experience or qualifications in any of the following areas outside of the core job scope are desirable:

Technical writing skills
Training IT and non technical (i.e. clinical) professionals
Working as a technical resource in a call center.


Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in business, engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in technical customer support
Knowledge of PC Architecture, applications, operating systems, networks (LAN, Zigbee), phone systems
Experience working in a regulated medical products environment
Excellent interpersonal skills, writing skills, and presentation skills in small group settings
Technical installation and operations experience in independent living market.


Location:

Ability to travel up to 75% of the time to customer/partner sites.
