Position: Clerical Assistant
Location: Hunt Valley, MD
Performs administrative tasks to support the operations group. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with 2 - 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to the Operations Supervisor.
Main responsibilities: Working with all incoming begins with opening, sorting, and scanning. Contractors responsible for sorting. After that, responsible for sorting information, filing cases, researching cases, copying, and printing. Bulk file department. Everything is basically checks. They come in secured bags. Handling customer accounts and paper checks daily. Requires someone that can catch on in a fast paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail, quality-oriented
• Prefer experience with check handling
• Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision
• Ability to stand for for a minimum of 6 hours per day
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
