PURPOSE:

This position provide regulatory support to internal divisions and external clients who develop and commercialize (nationally and internationally) lotions, candles, fragrance, cosmetics, body care, with focus on systems, process, and data management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide day-to-day regulatory support to internal divisions and external clients who develop and commercialize apparel and lingerie products.
• Conduct product audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standard operating procedures. Assist with audit data analysis. Provide guidance to resolve and prevent non-compliance.
• Assist internal divisions and region in the resolution of day-to-day product regulatory issues.
• Provide technical data support and coordination of regulatory-based documentation to other functions and business units within the enterprise. Assist in the design and maintenance of regulatory recordkeeping systems. Retrieve and disseminate regulatory information as needed.
o State, Federal and International Rules, Bans, Standards, Statutes, Regulations and Guidelines
o Internal Regulatory, Safety and Performance Standards, and Guidance Documents, Translations, and Standard Operating Procedures
• Coordinate and promote cross-functional and regional training and education.
• Interface effectively with all levels of management within the enterprise as well as internal divisions, region, and external clients.
• Act as a positive, supportive partner, consistently demonstrating our shared values and high standards.
• Other tasks and responsibilities as requested by supervisor.



QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree in an analytical discipline,§ chemistry, textiles, law, policy, international business, or equivalent work experience.
2-3 years of experience supporting specific functions in the§ regulatory area.
Excellent analytical skills required. Strong restricted§ substances background preferred: chemical substitution case studies, intrinsic hazards screening methodology, effluent and product chemical testing, auditing and chemical data management.
Strong interpersonal and communication§ skills; ability to translate complex rules, bans, standards and regulations to cross functional partners.
Time management and organizational skills§ required; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a great deal of attention to details.
Flexible team player with the desire to§ learn.
Demonstrated aptitude with information technology. Proficient in§ Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES:
B.S. in chemistry, biology or life sciences or any related field is a plus; superior interpersonal, communication, time management and organizational skills; the ability to multi-task and to be detail-oriented, flexible and a team player, as well as desire to learn; strong working knowledge of MS Office applications; excellent analytical skills and demonstrated aptitude with information technology; ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and with internal and external customers; Collaborative, team player; Good at multi-tasking and effective prioritization; Strong attention to detail, especially over extended periods; Fast learner who embraces and effectively adapts to change
