Portfolio Specialist – Job - Sorrento Valley Area
Adecco is currently seeking a strong and experienced Portfolio Specialist for a contract-to-hire job in the Sorrento Valley area. The portfolio specialist would be responsible for collecting customer payments in accordance with payment due dates, identifying issues attributing to account delinquency, performing reconciliations as necessary to resolve non-payment issues, reviewing and monitoring assigned accounts and all applicable collections report, providing timely follow up on payment arrangements, maintaining the required level of documentation on collection efforts, organizing information received from others and preparing reports, conducting research and compiling information for reports, assisting in the preparation and detailed analysis and review of budgets, expenses and projects.
The Portfolio Specialist job requirements include:
Education: BA, BS or equivalent with business, accounting, or finance emphasis
Experience: 3+ years in collections or account reconciliation, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge / Skills: Very strong interpersonal skills, tact, persistence, and patience; very strong customer service orientation; excellent follow through; strong verbal and written skills; working knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing, familiarity with computerized accounting / accounts receivable systems - knowledge in ERP Systems -- Oracle, PeopleSoft, and/or SAP, knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, intermediate experience in Excel -- V Lookups
Physical / Mental: Manage changing priorities and multiple responsibilities, work extended hours, make decisions under pressure, and work effectively in a team environment.
Work Environment: Professional office environment with heavy customer as well as internal demands. Hectic active workday with constantly shifting priorities. Open to team environment.
