Our customer, a Global Leader in Private Banking, Wealth Management and Investment Banking, is searching for a FATCA Business Analyst in NY, NY 10010. This is a contract position that has the possibility to open additional opportunities. Many of our associates have enhanced their current skills, had their contracts extended, converted to full time employment, or been re-deployed after their assignment ends.

Duration: ASAP – Duration: September 30 – (Can be extended)

Pay Range: Up to $500 a day: 3 to 5 years of BA experience


Business Analyst



Responsibilities:

Lead meetings with business architecture, project manager and IT to gather high-level business requirements
Work with global stakeholders in understanding and translating requirements to the underlying data
Perform business analysis to help define solution options and recommendations, including pros/cons and rationale for recommendations
Create, maintain and review business/functional requirements with stakeholders prior to achieving signoff
Ensure business/functional requirements can be traced back to high-level requirements
Identify and assist in resolution of risks and issues that will adversely affect planned project milestones
Create project initiation documents, use cases, including diagrams for end-to-end current/future business process flows
Develop QA plans and test cases; coordinate UAT
Analyze data from Customer Master Service (CMS), SIMBA and Operations Processing Platforms (OPP)
Identify and document process changes and system enhancements
Ensure process improvements through redesign are at the forefront of all initiatives
Evaluate measurable project benefits, i.e. increased revenue, efficiency and control; track and present metrics analysis
Establish strong relationships with various functions and businesses throughout IB
Facilitate working groups tasked with solving specific data challenges within the organization

Technical/Business Skills:

Experience acting as intermediary between business line and IT to ensure optimal delivery against requirements
Proven experience developing and writing business/functional requirements
Proficient in analyzing client reference data
Ability to make recommendations to ensure data quality and appropriate controls
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and proficiency for detailed documentation
Intermediate to Advanced skills with all Microsoft Office Applications
Experience in graphical and quantitative data analysis
Experience with the standard SDLC lifecycle and Agile development cycle
Experience working with Banking/Financial area and/or general knowledge of Investment Banking Operations processes (a plus)
Knowledgeable of Trade lifecycle (Order, Execution, Allocation)
Knowledgeable of operations (a plus)
Knowledgeable of securities types and their settlement processes (a plus)
Knowledgeable of Operational Risk management, processes, and controls (a plus)
Prior experience in Client Reference Data (preferred)

Self starter, self-guiding, and can demonstrate independent thinking
Good communication skills; comfortable dealing directly with senior internal clients
Displays perseverance and the ability to work well under pressure
Flexibility to change roles and/or cover other projects
Supports others and proactively shares appropriate information


Negotiates skillfully to convince and obtain mutual agreement
