Lead Financial Analyst - Manufacturing, Distribution and Engineering
We are currently seeking a Lead Financial Analyst to join the Manufacturing, Distribution and Engineering (MDE) Finance team of high caliber financial professionals who are working in an intriguing and thought provoking environment. The Lead Financial Analyst will support the manufacturing infrastructure for Legal’s print revenue streams. The Manufacturing organization is comprised of 675 individuals that work as a "business within a business" in the areas of sales, production, distribution and invoicing. We utilize cutting edge ERP Financial software (SAP) and the most up to date PC applications.

MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY


This position is responsible for supporting financial analysis for the Manufacturing, Distribution & Engineering Business. Overall accountabilities are providing sound financial analysis, interpreting financial results and leading the Plan and Forecast for the business.
1. Prepare monthly financial results and analysis for MD&E (Manufacturing, Distribution and Engineering). Oversee the close process to insure all accruals and appropriate adjustments are included in the financial results. Provide variance analysis to understand the business drivers.
2. Lead and support the Planning, LE (latest estimate) and Forecasting processes by providing detailed cost for Labor, raw materials, headcount and capital. Also, support the process with variance analysis for the different cost drivers.
3. Oversee the capital expenditure process by developing business cases, calculating return on invested capital and insuring the asset policy is followed and projects are properly depreciated.
4. Assist in the development of, implement and manage special projects and studies that require an in-depth and comprehensive operational and financial analysis and review.

5. Prepare financial presentations for management.
6. Lead projects across MDE finance that improves processes and provide improved reporting and decision making support.
7. Provide leadership on the multiple business systems in MDE finance which includes SAP, Business Objects, QMS (Quote Management System), High Jump and Auto count.
8. Directly leads, supervises and provides guidance to one Financial Analyst.
9. Lead the group in other miscellaneous analysis as needed.

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting / Finance required. CMA / CPA / MBA desirable.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible business and financial analysis experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong skills in Excel, SAP, COGNOS, BEx, Business Objects and other computer applications.
• Have a solid knowledge of cost accounting
• Strong project management skills
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational & interpersonal skills. A proven ability to relate to all levels of management.
• Comfortable in a team environment with changing priorities and time pressures
