Claims Adjuster

Summary:

Under general supervision, investigates and settles multiple lines of insurance claims of a moderate to severe nature.

Responsibility level:


* Examines claim forms and other records to determine insurance coverage

* Utilizes various methods of investigation and negotiates settlement with claimants in accordance with prescribed authority

* May provide direction to lower level claims adjusters

* Typically requires a college degree and two to four years experience in claims adjusting

Requirements:

* LICENSE REQUIRED

* Commercial Lines Property and Casualty

* Must be able to handle Commercial Auto and General Liability claims

* Bodily Injury and Property damage

* This includes coverage, liability and damage determination

* License in Wyoming is a plus, not a must
