Position Details:
Position: Equity Guideline Manager

Location: Newark, DE

Length: 3 Month Contract


Functional Overview
The Guideline Team is divided into two areas: Guideline Setup & Quality Control and Guideline Breach Monitoring and reporting responsible for monitoring equities as well as separately managed accounts. The team also monitors firm wide restrictions working with various Risk teams globally. The manager will be responsible for reviewing processes, eliminating risk, and adding controls. Responsibilities will also include overseeing the day-to-day activities of the guidelines team to ensure high priority tasks are completed timely.

Responsibilities
The Manager of the Guideline Coding team will be responsible for:

Responsible for assigning day to day workflow throughout the team
Shift resources during high volume periods to mitigate risk
Objectively review processes and controls while solving inefficiencies
Develop a relationship with Middle Office and Front Office partners
Partner closely with Middle Office to deliver reporting and develop solutions to reduce breaches
Deliver guideline monitoring and setup metrics to senior management
Development of talent within team structure
Providing final signoff on new accounts/ guideline changes
Reviewing and interpreting guidelines for new accounts, Auditing existing accounts for accuracy
Validate logic based rules are applied correctly and that testing is consistent with account guidelines



Qualifications / Skill Set

5+ yrs Financial Services, Risk or Compliance experience a plus
Ability to lead and manage a team of 5-10 individuals
Detail oriented
Financial product knowledge of fixed income, equities, and derivatives
Organization, time management, and multi-tasking skills
Ability to identify inefficiencies in a process and drive change
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to identify issues and escalate when necessary
Understanding of risk and controls
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with Sentinel a plus
