A local leading organization is currently seeking an experienced Marketing Associate to assist the Marketing Manager in the development and execution of marketing plans. Provide comprehensive analysis of market trends, analysis of consumer habits, competitor pricing impact, sales techniques, advertising performance, etc. The position is a temporary opportunity working in Glendale.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
o Support marketing manager in day-to-day management of business.
o Development and execution across the entire marketing mix.
o Lead cross functional teams on assigned business building and/or product development initiatives.
o Manage brand performance against annual volume, share and/or profit goals and develop action plans to ensure attainment of the goals.
o Proactively identifies and recommends actions to achieve annual goals.
o Utilize Nielsen data to provide analysis with conclusions and recommendations related to consumption trends.
o Develop and thoroughly execute brand promotions and packaging development. Develop and track marketing budgets, providing timely analysis to marketing manager.
o Assist with advertising programs as appropriate.
o Play a lead role in the development of the brand's annual marketing plans.
o Conduct special analyses as necessary to support business initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, experience and skill-set:
o BS/BA in Business with a Marketing emphasis required; or exceptional experience factor. MBA strongly preferred.
o 1-2 years of brand marketing experience
o Candidate must possess a strong drive for results including strong leadership decision making and analytical skills, effective communication skills, ability to think strategically, self-motivation, and a passion for the consumer and marketing.
o Consumer Packaged Goods experience
