A major children's publisher in NYC currently seeks a sr. editor to work in its education department. This person will be working in an editing/writing position - intermediate to senior level position, must have good judgement and be a self starter. The ideal candidate will be responsible for updating online courses (professional development courses offered online for teachers, so good understanding of the audience is key. A teaching background is a must with editing, writing & experience working with common core standards as well as reading/english language arts focused. BA or BS in English or Education preferred. 5+ years of educational publishing or editorial experience required.
