Quality Engineer (Faro Arm) – Vermont
$50K - $70K Salary

Our client has an immediate need for someone with Faro Arm knowledge. Depending on your level of experience you may be responsible for supporting the entire Quality System. This could include Customer Contact, Supplier Contact, Receiving Inspection, Final Audit, Metrology, Layout functions and Continuous Improvement Efforts as well as all associated documentation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Testing of parts (Functional, Dimensional, Physical properties, etc.)
Complete Layouts on parts for PPAP, Problem Solving, etc.
Create, update and maintain Quality Documentation, Control Plans, FMEA’s, Flow Charts, Procedures, Gage Calibration, etc.
Drive quality related customer / system requirements
Create and submit PPAP’s and other customer required documents
Serve as focal point of contact for internal and external customers
Analyze SPC data for process improvement and corrective actions
Participate in / Initiate cross functional teams in the pursuit of problem solving and mistake proofing quality problems.
Travel and provide support to customers and suppliers to resolve problems
Monitor and respond to customer communications daily (PR/R, etc.)
Perform internal audits to TS 16949 requirements
Receiving Inspection on incoming products and maintain system
Monitor data received by sub contractors for compliance to specifications
Complete Capability studies, Gage R&R, Gage Calibration as required
Assist in part audits and sort operations as required
Assist in the creation and maintenance of sample boards
REQUIREMENTS:
Faro Arm experience (MUST HAVE)
Bachelor’s degree (Preferred)
Experience in quality engineering
Ability to present information in small group situations to supervisors and other employees
Strong leadership abilities
A working knowledge in dimensional measuring equipment and layouts
Knowledge in GD&T and advanced mathematical calculations
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Travel approximately 20%
