We are searching for a Laboratory Assistant on a 4 month contract opportunity with a leading Manufacturing company in Lancaster, PA 17602

Hours: Monday through Friday – 8am – 5pm

Required Experience:
Previous experience in Aluminum Testing is greatly preferred.

Description: Perform Aluminum testing to determine product specifications are met. Materials used: Aluminum Ignot, coil and sheet samples, chemical solvents, abrasives, acids and caustics. Mechanical testing’s performed: Prepare Samples for Tensile, Olsen ductility, earing, bend tests, conductivity, Rockwell hardness, etching and anodizing. Determine strength, yield strength, percent elongation, Olsen depth, and grain size, percent and degree of earing, and percent of conductivity.

Tools and Equipment Used: Mechanical tension tester, hardness tester, conversion coat analyzer, milling machine, drill press, band saw, dip tanks, hand and power sheers, conductivity tester, bend tester, rough tester, microscopes, sample preparation testing.
