Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Assembler

An Electro-Mechanical Assembler, works under limited supervision to assemble instrument components, sub-components, and electro-mechanical assemblies. Utilizes skills and processes such as: soldering, fitting / mounting, alignment, adjusting, and performing repairs. Reads and interprets detailed schematics, engineering drawings, wiring schematics, as needed.
Must perform proper wiring techniques, including harnessing terminations and connectors.
Reads and interprets electrical and mechanical engineering drawings and schematics.
Follows established work processes, procedures, standards, and methods.
Uses various fixtures, gauges, and assembly tools to assemble, adjust, or repair product.
Performing manufacturing tests and written documentation as required.
Assembles products in accordance with daily / weekly production schedules.
Maintains equipment and performs housekeeping duties on a daily basis.
Responsible for contributing to the continuous improvement program.
Over two years production experience in an electronics and / or mechanical manufacturing environment.
Strong skills in various hand assembly operations such as: soldering, wiring, and cable assembly.
Proven track record of results in a continuous improvement and / or lean manufacturing environment.
Solid understanding of workmanship standards, specifically IPC-A-610.
Knowledge of ESD handling procedures.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Availability and desire to work overtime; daily and on weekends as required.
Ability to lift 40 pounds
