Quality Assurance Inspector job in Vista, CA
We currently have a Mechanical Inspector job in Vista,CA. This will be a temp to hire position for the right candidate. The ideally candidate will need Inspector experience in the Aerospace Industry.
ABOUT THE JOB
What we are looking for in an inspector is a person with an understanding of AS9100C, FAA regulations 14 CFR Part 21 and Part 145 (Manufacturing & Repairs). This person will have the ability to think independently and make common sense decisions concerning Production, Repair, and Receiving Inspection situations/issues on their own. Pay Rate- 15-18/hr
Mechanical Inspector RESPONSIBILITIES
The candidates will be required to read and write the English language, be able to read blue prints, interpret drawing notes and dimensions, and manufacturing instructions. They must be able to use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc. Candidates must be able to write non-conformance reports, corrective/preventive actions, and follow-up on those actions which they have generated and close them out. They must have experience in receiving, in-process, and final inspection as well as DTS, MRB, and FAI processes. Candidates have experience with Document Control, ECR writing, Change control etc. Candidates must have at least 3 years’ experience in Aerospace quality system environments.
The candidates will be assigned other tasks than quality such as Work Instruction review writing, Internal Auditing per AS9104 in conjunction with 14CFR Part 21 and Part 145. They will be asked to perform random as well as assigned internal and supplier audits as well. Candidates will not be performing the same tasks day after day; they will be expected to be utilitarian in their duties, in other words, cross training and tasking will be a must.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED
Must have ISO 9001:2008 and / or AS9100/AS9110 work experience
Must be able to read and interpret machine and design drawings
Must have Receiving Inspection experience using tools (caliper, micrometer, height gauge, radius gauges etc.)
Must pass a pre-employment assessment demonstrating your ability to read drawings and use measuring equipment
Must have Receiving Inspection experience with Supplier paperwork, testing, recording data and receiving work flow, DTS
Must have experience with MRB, NCR, CAR's and Preventive Actions, etc.
Familiar with FAA Part 21 and 145/Aerospace regulation(s) and related specifications
FAA 145-9 RS experience and or Repairman certificate a plus
Good problem solving and math skills
Good computer skills (Word, Excel)
Optical Comparator knowledge
Laser engraver a plus
Training skills a plus
Spanish speaking a plus
