Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for a Mechanical Design Engineer on a 12 month + contract opportunity with a leading company in Mountain View, CA.

Develop and execute designs for complex machines, tools, and fixtures. Deliver robust solutions for tasks such as precision component alignment, motorized automation, and material dispensing.

Concept generation & detailed design, analysis & verification testing, cross functional reviews and manufacturing release. Be a technical resource in multiple areas of equipment design such as thermal, structural, manufacturability, serviceability and reliability.

Requirements: Extensive experience in designing complex electro-mechanical assemblies with an expert understanding of mechanical tolerances (GD&T). Excellent facility with 3D CAD systems (Solidworks experience desired). Well versed in the core mechanical engineering analytical skills. Experience with robotics, electronics, datalogging, and control systems a plus. Experience with manufacturing statistics and Design of Experiments a plus.
