Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for a Hardware Test Engineer on a 12 month contract opportunity with the #1 Search Engine company in Headquartered in Mountain View, CA.
As a Hardware Test Engineer of our world-class manufacturing and operations team, you will provide product manufacturing and test support which includes the setup, test, and troubleshooting of products down to the subsystem level. Requires strong knowledge of utilizing electronics test equipment such as digital scopes, logic analyzers, and data acquisition systems. You will coordinate and implementation test methods and procedures, analyze results, recommend corrective action and follow these through to implementation. You will do so in different environments including the field (for deployed products), at a contract manufacturer’s location, or at a lab. Linux, phython scripting or other programming experience is required.
BA/BS degree preferred in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines (MS Preferred)
At least 2 years of experience working in a hardware R&D environment or equivalent.
Familiarity with EE lab equipment, such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and data acquisition systems.
MUST BE ABLE TO WRITE BASIC SCRIPTS.(C/C++, python, shell, java or matlab, etc).
Must be able to work from schematics, CAD drawings, rough engineering drawings and/or verbal instructions.
Good understanding of the cameras and physics underlying electrical, electronic, and thermal devices.
Experience using environmental chambers and test beds is a plus.
Experience working in the linux environment.
Testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of existing production hardware at local or remote locations
Prepare, setup, and run a broad suite of tests on computer hardware and systems, execute test plans, take signal integrity measurements, and drive environmental qualifications tests.
Provide test data , analyse these and provide recommendations that will help to evaluate mechanical, electrical, and thermal , and other environmental performance of components and systems.
Design and assemble test fixtures, load banks, and other components common to product development.
