Adecco Engineering and Technical has a current job opportunity for a Senior Electrical Automation Engineer in Houston, Texas with a world leader for premium connection solutions for the oil and gas industry.This Job Description below applies to the analysis, design, implementation and coordination of CAPEX projects related to manufacturing equipment such as lathes, swagger, stress relieve units, conveyors, robots, phosphate, buck on programmable controllers. This position reports to the CAPEX Manager

The Senior Electrical Automation Engineer Job Requirements include:

Supports engineering with CAPEX project management
Manages automation projects of Large CAPEX (LCA)
Design and deploy Engineering strategy concerning automation, machinery control, traceability.
Leading productivity improvement projects through automation optimization
Conducts and evaluates studies concerning control systems and standardization
Develop, program, implement Level 1 and Level 2 automation/data collection
Has knowledge with project network layouts/cabinets/ operation station/ instrumentation and sensors layout
PLC- cabinet and layout, remote control panel/cabinet /FLEX I/O/ drives, ladder logic/ Omron/ Allen Bradley
Has knowledge of power distribution/line diagrams/ power diagrams
Support construction and fabrication of new /revamp of existing equipment
Development of engineering technical specifications as required by projects
Follows all work instructions, specifications and related requirements
Must have basic knowledge of LEAN Initiatives (SMED, One piece flow, 5S, VSM, Pokayoke, etc.)
Must have knowledge of SPC-Cp Cpk comprehension.
Is involved in helping TPM teams develop small projects as needed
Works with Manufacturing support team to achieve improvements in the process.

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or electronic system technology or equivalent is required
7-10 years minimum in automation related work is required
7-10 years minimum experience OCTG products is preferred.
PLC programming and troubleshooting / Automation experience / robotic experience
Experience in electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, hydraulic systems preferred
General tooling knowledge as it pertains to machining of metal
Good working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is required
Must have the ability to organize and prioritize work load and meet deadlines.
Experience in electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, hydraulic systems preferred
CAD experience - AutoCAD / Inventor
