Job description

A Senior Mechanical Designer job in Alpharetta, GA is available courtesy of Adecco Engineering and Technical. We are looking for candidates with industrial/power plant experience and knowledge of AutoCAD. You will be responsible for performing project specific tasks based upon customer, project, and engineering needs. You may also be required to work in engineering offices, customer engineering office, or at customer power plant site either during construction or upon completion including after commercial operations commence.


The Sr. Mechanical Designer job responsibilities include:


Developing plot plan layouts; preliminary and final P&ID diagrams; populating technical spec data sheets for project specific equipment; providing inputs for equipment, engineering service, and construction RFQ’S; checking and validating 3rd party detailed engineering drawings; revising, validating, and issuing as-built drawings.
System design and component selection associated with Gas Turbine power plant mechanical systems, including fuel, water treatment, inlet conditioning, controls, exhaust, emissions control, water discharge, fire suppression, as well as plant layouts.

QUALIFICATIONS:


Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
At least ten years in Mechanical Design and five years experience using AutoCAD
Experience using 3D software including AutoCAD, Microstation or SmartPlant a plus
Detailed knowledge of Codes and Standards applicable to Gas Turbine Power Plant design.
Must have detailed experience working with the generation of F & IDs, P &IDs, 3-D Layouts, System Design Details Sections Isometrics, Equipment Skid Arrangement Drawings and BOM’s.
Must be familiar with Power Plant Detailed Design drawing output and be able to review such output for completeness and accuracy, as well as develop same outputs as required.
