We are currently looking for a Process Engineer for our client, offering services in a medical device manufacturing in Sun Valley, CA.
Under the direction of the COO and engineering group in Hawaii, the engineer will evaluate the local existing production process and provide expertise to improve production, assembly time, defects, assembly, testing, quality, and documentation. Engineer will document improvements on standard operational procedure manuals (SOP’s) and document process with engineering team. Will communicate product defects with manufacturer, research and evaluate sub-assemblies and recommend replacements on discontinued parts. Engineer will communicate with offsite engineering group to discuss results, implementations, schedule project goals, cost, and entire manufacturing process. Local manufacturing group consists of 10-15 assemblers and testers.
MS or BS engineering degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, and/or relevant industry required
7+ years experience with process engineering/process improvement in biomedical/medical device manufacturing industry required.
Experienced writing/revising SOP’s
Ability to interpret engineering blueprints and schematics
Knowledge of PCB assembly and final assembly testing
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
