...Responsible in providing design, implementation, and support for existing and new Process Control projects within the Chemical/Kiln areas including Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's), as well as custom control applications running in a MS environment which are used to meet manufacturing needs and production goals.
Mandatory REQUIREMENTS:
Experience reading and interpreting P&ID's, loopsheets, and electrical drawings
Experience with Distributed Control Systems
PLC programming experience, as well as troubleshooting
Required to be available to work overtime and to be on-call
Minimum of 2 years experience or equivalent working knowledge/experience with control hardware, software, and networking
Additional Requirements:
Project Management, communications, problem solving, sense of urgency, customer focus, and team work.
Ability to evaluate processes and equipment operation
Plan and manage process improvement projects
Ability to learn new programming languages and to understand control loop tuning
Experience with Honeywell DCS's preferred
Chemical Processing Experience Preferred
Education:
Bachelors Degree in an engineering discipline with an emphasis on process control.
Soft Skills:
Communicates and works with various operational, environmental, maintenance, and engineering levels in a team environment while being self-motivated and accomplish individual goals.
Ability to communicate in both written and oral form.
Must have skills necessary to perform project scope definitions and manage a wide variety of technical projects.
Must be willing to be on-call to support production needs.
