Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for an Process Control Engineer on a Direct Hire opportunity with a leading company in the chemical additive industry in Louisville, KY. This mid-size plant was built on family values and not coincidentally has an incredibly high tenure range as well as a phenomenal bonus structure.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing hardware and software expertise to fully utilize and enhance the facility DCS systems
Leading facility DCS replacement projects
Integrating programming for new engineering projects
Identifying and implementing process control strategies to drive improvements
Providing expertise for process and reliability improvements
Supporting process safety enhancements with improved alarm management and strong well-documented interlock systems
Staying current on developments relating to the DCS systems
Developing a long term vision for the DCS system's infrastructures to ensure reliable operations
Providing day to day troubleshooting support to operations
Training area engineers and operators to best utilize the systems
Required Skills:
BSChe or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing facility
Working knowledge of hardware and software aspects of distributive control systems
Working proficiency in MS Office applications; Ability to learn Company and plant specific business software
Good interpersonal skills with ability and desire to work effectively in a team environment
Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to make independent decisions when necessary
Ability to communicate effectively both writing and speaking
Experience in project management
Additional Skills: (considered a plus)
Advanced degree
Experience with ABB DCS systems
Experience with Emerson Delta V systems
Six Sigma or Lean certifications
