Job description

We are looking to hire a Engineering Technician for a long-term contract in Andover, MA. Ideal candidate would have a strong electro-mechanical background and familiar with environmental testing equipment.

Job Requirements:


Work with the engineering group to ensure proper testing/executing and documentation of environmental testing
Experience with various environmental testing: Shock, Heat, vibration, pressure
Prior experience working in a test lab
Strong Electro-mechanical background
Experience with RCM/FMEA
Nice to have (exposure to medical device testing)

•Participate and observe quality management system process requirements for the site and the group
•Plan and setup tests in accordance with project requirements and the direction of Product Safety Engineers
•Conduct electrical, mechanical, thermal, environmental, auditory, visual and performance tests and inspections of medical electrical equipment.
•Write technical documents recording test results, product information and environmental conditions
•Regularly participate in site and group training
Work well in a team environment with associates and internal business customers
Ability to read and understand national and international medical electrical equipment and information technology equipment product safety standards
Ability to understand electrical schematics, wiring and block diagrams and to apply faults at the circuit component level
Ability to use test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, programmable power supplies, passive networks, function generators, signal processing equipment, dielectric strength test equipment, cardiac defibrillator test equipment, ground bond test equipment, leakage current test equipment, automated test stations (national instruments) used for ecg and respiratory gas testing and various mechanical tests apparatus
* Experience in product safety testing of medical electrical equipment, information technology equipment or other equipment using product safety standards is desirable






* AAS EE minimum with BSEE or BSET desirable
* Specialized product safety training is desirable
* Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office programs using windows operating system is required and CAD experience is desirable
