Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for an RF Technician on a contract opportunity with a leading telecommunications company in Forest, VA.

Position for a senior technician with at least 10 years experience and an emphasis on RF products. This position is responsible for board-level and system-level verification and test. Tasks include troubleshooting, design verification testing, test automation, and factory support

Principal Duties, Responsibilities, and Authority:

Test and troubleshoot RF/digital system level assemblies.
Test and troubleshoot RF/digital circuits to component and module level.
Assemble, configure, and calibrate modules and systems.
Evaluate and document performance of new products.
Coordinate material and documentation for prototype builds.
Work with production to ensure successful new product introductions.
Other engineering support tasks as needed.

Guidance:

Work tasks are developed within the Engineering team, and coordinated through the principal systems Engineer.
Provide guidance to Production Technicians
Substantial portions of assigned tasks have minimal supervision.

Profile:

A.A.S. in E. E. Technology or equivalent with related work experience required.
BSET or equivalent a plus
Ability to work in a Team environment.
5+ yrs. of experience with test, troubleshooting and minor design of analog, digital and RF circuitry to 3 GHz.
Knowledge and use of network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, noise figure meters, and other test equipment.
Good Computer Skills ( Word/Excel, etc. )
Some programming skills a plus
Familiarity with UNIX a plus
Good communication skills
