Adecco Engineering & Technical is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a Direct Hire job with a growing manufacturing company in Mayfield Heights.

This person will be responsible for broad product engineering services, including product development, product modifications and technical service.

Conducts extensive new product development and product modification work, including regulatory issues, safety regulations, application procedures, quality acceptance criteria, verification analysis, and design review requirements
Develops product parameters, specifications, and engineering drawings. Recommends capital expenditure requests for purchase of prototype tools and parts. Approves release of all product specs.
In conjunction with Purchasing Department, works with vendors concerning tooling and part fabrication issues.
Handles field complaints and product failures. Analyzes problems, rendering solution or recommendations after proper engineering and laboratory studies.
Writes or edits product performance characteristics suitable for external release in reports, product catalogs, or sales literature.
Conducts product seminars at the R&E facility or at customer's place of business.


Requirements

BSME is a must
8+ years of product development or application engineering experience with metal casting or plastic molding
FEA and CAD experience – ProE (ANSYS is a plus!)


Preferred, but not Required Experience

Engineering experience with power utility or telecommunications outside plant and related design practices.
Supervisory experience
