Contract Duration: Indefinite Contract
Electrical Designer
Position Responsibilities
Electrical design of new and/or existing production equipment
Project management of multiple projects
Create project/equipment concepts and detail specifications
Work with outside suppliers for specification of equipment and design support
Investigation and planning of new model projects
Machine build and install support
Tasks Performed
Electrical Design of hardware schematics and software
Component sizing and cabinet layout using AutoCad
Explanation and justification of design within a technical review
Production drawings/programs, parts lists and ordering parts
Follow of design issues on manufacturing floor and start-up in mass production
Required Skills
Basic PC skills w/AutoCad 2004 or higher
Able to analyze problems and implement improvements in existing designs and equipment
Project managment experience
PLC development, NEC and NFPA-79 Code knowledge
Troubleshooting of industrial controls
Desired Skills
Advanced PLC ladder design
Mitsubishi and Allen Bradley programming
CNC, pneumatics, and Robots
Experience in taking a design from concept through manufacturing and install
PayRate: Negotiable based on experience
