Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for a Applications Engineer on a Direct HIRE (Permanent Placement) opportunity with a leading manufacturing company in Columbus, Ohio

My client has been around since the early 1980s, and has helped mid-to-large sized manufacturers in the aerospace, automotive, government/defense, heavy manufacturing, consumer products and light industrial, energy, and rail industries to improve their operational efficiencies through innovative materials joining and allied technologies.

My Client is looking for a Applications Engineer specializing in Numerical Modeling and FEA Analysis of metals and welded structures. The candidate will work on a range of materials, joining, and forming based projects. Numerical modeling expertise in predicting and validating mechanical performance, microstructures, distortion and stresses in welding and other manufacturing processes using FEA software codes including ABAQUS, ANSYS, DFORM, and LS DYNA is required. Technical sales, project execution, numerical modeling expertise and customer interaction are also requirements for this position.


Primary job responsibilities

Proposing and performing numerical model based projects that provide innovative solutions meeting customer objectives.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required for interaction with project team and customers. Candidate must be capable of providing technical direction of development activity in a team environment, writing professional reports, and performing technical presentations.
Travel may be required up to 20% of time.
Minimum of bachelors degree in Engineering or related discipline




Minimum of 2 years of industry experience in numerical modeling, with background in manufacturing and/or research environments.
US Citizenship required
