My client has been around since the early 1980s, and has helped mid-to-large sized manufacturers in the aerospace, automotive, government/defense, heavy manufacturing, consumer products and light industrial, energy, and rail industries to improve their operational efficiencies through innovative materials joining and allied technologies.

My Client is looking for an experienced engineer specializing in plastics welding and joining processes. Primary job responsibilities include proposing and leading customer focused development efforts, technical sales, and project execution. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required for interaction with project team and customers. Candidate must be capable of providing technical direction of development activity in a team environment, performing technical presentations, leading large development projects and developing business cases for applications. Travel may be required (25%)
Qualifications:
Minimum of B.S. degree in Engineering (Welding, Mechanical, Materials)
Minimum 5 years industry experience in plastics welding and joining processes including: (Hot Plate, Spin, Laser, Ultrasonic and Vibration)
Understanding of wide range of plastics including their application and properties
Experience with tooling and automation in combination with these processes
Experience with planning, operating and specifying processes and associated tooling
Ability to propose, plan and execute projects in efficient and timely manner
Strong communication skills
