Adecco Engineering & Technical is currently recruiting for a Weld Engineer for one of its clients in Columbus, OH.

-DURATION: Direct Hire



Design new model process flow for equipment and provide support for new model layout.
Design and spec new model equipment.
Maintain new model project schedule and budget, confirm equipment delivery.
Perform new equipment run offs at supplier before sign off.
Coordinate new equipment set-up, confirm functionality / capacity of new equipment
Adjust equipment to meet quality and dimensional requirements.
Make modifications to equipment and programs as processes change.
Operate equipment for and coordinate new model event build.
Provide training to maintenance staff on troubleshooting of new equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair new model equipment before mass production.

Responsible for the quality of the products that are produced on over 60 different machines.
Set up and control the welding parameters, machine settings, and tooling dimensions to produce a quality part on a wide variety of processes that include resistance welding, GMAW, orbital riveting, vision systems, and pressing operations.
Implement improvement ideas that aid in improving quality and optimize the performance of each process.


Bachelor’s Degree required.
Minimum 1 year experience in industrial, commercial, or military maintenance environment.
Must have demonstrated advanced skills in electrical / mechanical troubleshooting and repair of automated equipment within a manufacturing or industrial capacity.
Experience with robotic programming and teaching (ie. Fanuc, Motoman, Nachi) and deep understanding of robotic welding.
Must have advanced experience with machine tools and/or welding skills. Strong mechanical aptitude. Experience with machining (end mill, lathe, CNC) is preferred.
