Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for a Robotics Engineer on an Permanent opportunity with a leading company in the Columbus, Ohio area.



Responsibilities:

Leads and manages robotic activity across manufacturing facilities including robotic order/specifications, set-up, programming, maturation and troubleshooting.
Supports new model development and process capability studies involving robotics (process analysis, new model, weld/sealing distribution management, in-depth cycle time analysis, etc.).
Performs robotic programming on-site and off-line (3D CAD robotic simulation, off-line path creation, process capability confirmation, on-site introduction and maturation of robotic programs).
Supports robotic new technical development and the development of associate skills related to robotics across the organization.

Daily Tasks:

Manages communication with in/outside customers. Performs path creation for upload/download to robotic work cells.
Performs on-site robot program debugging and maturation to meet equipment cycle requirements.
Performs robot set-up and troubleshooting.

Experience:

Minimum of three years experience in robotic programming. CAD experience.

Knowledge:

Familiar with programming industrial six-axis robots (weld, sealer or other) and other advanced automation background.

Required Skills:

Strong manufacturing process analysis skills.
Strong communication skills.
Robot programming skills.
3D CAD skills.

Desired Skills:

Experience with FANUC and/or Yaskawa Motoman robotic programming.
Automated equipment maturation experience (automotive).
Project management experience.

Degree:

Bachelor’s of Engineering degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Welding/Industrial or Engineering Technology or an Associate’s degree with two years equivalent experience. Non-degreed engineer must have six years of equivalent experience.
