Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for a Product Development Engineer with non woven and experience for a direct hire opportunity with a leading company in Exton, PA.

In this position candidates will be part of a cross-functional team designing and developing innocative product solutions for commercial customer applications. Other responsibilities would include the following:


Be a materials expert and work with the hands-on team.
Work closely with Sales and Applications Engineering to clearly understand market and application requirements. Participate in customer visits to ensure successful value-added solutions. Translate customer needs into innovative new product designs.
Contribute to new product development by selecting and/or developing new nonwoven products.
Together with the Product Development team, develop new thermo-formed products, improve the thermo-compression process, and select materials to be used in new thermo-formed product designs.
Assist with process development, to rapidly deliver product concepts into commercial production.
Ensure proper documentation of the concept development stage, including product definition, concept descriptions, and lessons learned Intellectual Property disclosures, and materials specifications.
Support product designs after global production has initiated.
Support global technology development activities, by actively participating in idea generation sessions and advanced technology explorations.
Champion team efforts from product conception through commercialization.
Some travel is required
Must be willing to learn new technologies and processes

Education:

BS Degree in Textile Engineering, Non-Woven Engineering or related technical discipline.

Specific Experience:

Two to Five years of nonwoven manufacturing experience required, preferably with dry laid web technologies.
Knowledge and or experience with various nonwoven manufacturing process a plus.
Must excel within a team environment.
Must passionately champion new product and process concepts.
Must be an innovative problem solver and analytical thinker.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to simultaneously manage multiple projects.
Supervisory experience a plus.
Project Management experience a plus.
