Job description

Adecco Engineering and Technical has partnered with a well established company in the Aerospace industry to fill a direct hire role as a Manufacturing Engineer in Franklin, WI. The Manufacturing Engineers are the front line Engineering interface to Production. They develop, assist, monitor, and improve production process technology. They work with Product Engineers to ensure that products can be assembled and produced efficiently and safely. To accomplish this, Manufacturing engineers are directly involved in tooling/fixture design and fabrication, process development, prototyping activity, setting up production line flow, equipment specification, industrial hygiene and safety, and training.


Provides primary Engineering support for Production, including customer drawing interpretation, managing redlines and drawing markups, responding to EARs, and assisting in CAPA resolution
Assists Product Engineering in development of manufacturing processes required to build assemblies efficiently and safely
Develops and fabricates production fixtures and specifies tooling to facilitate production efficiency
Works with Process Engineering Technicians in the development of production Standard Work documentation
Participates in the Engineering Change Order process to incorporate process documentation (Standard Work) corrections, and corrections to routings, Bills of Materials, and other documentation errors.
Sets up production flow in both cells and flow lines. Performs time studies to develop cycle times and structure production flow.
Evaluates new tools, equipment, and processes to aid in production efficiency and safety.
Takes ownership of key production processes and equipment such as molding, potting, fixture fabrication, printing and other special or unique processes.


Cable/Harness & Interconnect Assembly experience is highly desirable.
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent; or 1-2 years experience in a similar position.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel.
Able to work in a fast-pace, ambiguous, rapidly changing environment.
Able to multi-task, work on multiple projects.
Excellent personal computing skills, particularly Microsoft Office and AutoCad LT.
Ability to read and interpret customer-supplied documentation
