To manage all computer aided design (CAD) duties and math data transfers for Brembo North America (BNA). The position will require a minimum of 40 hours per week. This position may require overtime to meet project timing.
Design brake components and all applicable products using computer assisted design software.
Create casting math data using foundry casting methodology. (parting lines and draft angles)
Create machine / casting engineering prints using GD&T and the latest ANSI/ISO standards.
Create sketches / rough layout of design concept and compute angles, weights, surface areas, dimensions, radii, clearances, tolerances, leverages, and feature locations.
Create detailed multi-view drawings of assemblies.
Utilize knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, raw material, processes and other physical sciences to complete engineering prints.
Create customer prints and math data in accordance with their design standards and 3D environment specifications.
Perform stack-up studies of mating component to insure proper fitment and machining clean-up.
Collaborate with Product / Application Engineer to devise course of action in the case of improper fitment or design concerns.
Assign and manage BNA part numbering system as it applies to new products.
Manage data transfers between BNA and customers. (internal and external)
Perform math data translation between CAD software. (IGES, STEP, Parasolid, DXF, DWG)
Manage released math data and engineering prints as it applies to Brembo’s Engineering Change Process.
Interface with Brembo Italy with respect to releasing BNA drawings.
Manage BNA and/or supplier products in Team Center at customer location
Upload, download, and Data Set creation
Attend design review and /or conference calls when necessary.
EDUCATION AND/OR OTHER SKILLS
Associate degree or higher in related field with 5 years of applicable experience.
Certificate of completion in a Computer Aid Design software. (CATIA V5 Release 18 or higher preferred)
Certification for Ford, General Motors, and Nissan Product Life Cycle (PLM) Database

Active CDSID at Ford
General knowledge of component development with respect to machining and foundry processes
Solid communication skills (verbal, listening and written)
