Job Title: Clinical Assistant III
Job Summary: The Clinic Generalist performs both clinical (back office) and front office functions: clinic functions are performed under the supervision of the registered nurse and/or supervising nurse practitioner/physician. The Clinic Generalist's front office functions include appointment scheduling, patient check in/out and general reception duties. The Clinic Generalist must be able to work efficiently and appropriately with health care providers to maintain efficient flow throughout the Clinic and to assure that patients are treated in accordance with established standards of quality care.
Qualifications: Familiarity with/experience using medical and nursing terminology. High school graduate or equivalent. Ability to prioritize tasks and handle a high volume of interactions (phones, patients, etc.) Ability to communicate clearly orally and in writing. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to deal with diverse patient/family interactions. Ability to recognize and communicate problems promptly. Ability to work alternate shifts including evenings and weekends. Computer data entry experience preferred; keyboard experience required. Previous experience in a medical setting preferred.
Hourly Pay Rate: 24.00
