Under general direction, the Project Scheduler is responsible for preliminary and final design of the construction projects master schedule. Use databases and spreadsheets to prepare work breakdown structure and to support schedule analysis, including preparation of graphics to indicate actual contract progress versus target schedule progress. Follows up with Project Managers as needed to assure project schedule targets are being met. Has working
knowledge of construction project management scheduling methodologies and associated software.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
1. Maintains master schedule for project tasks including preparation, updating, revising, maintaining, coordinating and communicating project schedules to Project Manager and team members.
2. Communicates with Project Managers to determine total scope of work, task duration, coordination requirements, level of detail required, project milestones, and other information necessary to create a comprehensive and integrated master schedule.
3. Keeps Project Managers apprised of the status of the work until completion.
4. Maintains individual task order schedules that will roll-up into a master schedule for the site or program.
5. Demonstrates familiarity with various construction engineering concepts and civil, mechanical and electrical practices and procedures necessary in developing and tracking schedule components.
6. Maintains project documents and filing system.
7. Works with management to roll up expected revenue by month based on the earned value of scheduled work.
8. Attends daily/weekly meetings with management to review the status of scheduled work.
9. Submits written notifications to internal and external customers to coordinate upcoming shutdowns.
10. Utilizes construction management programs such as Primavera, P3, SureTrak, Microsoft Project and Expedition to manage work schedules and track job status.
