Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for an Operator Technician. This is a Contract opportunity with a leading company in Birmingham, AL.

The candidate will provide technical support for a large automated processing machine. The candidate will need to be highly mechanical in order replace belts and gears on the machine. The candidate will also need to be electrically competent in order to replace fiber optic and magnetic sensors and, if need be, replace a PC.

The candidate will need to be able to read error messages and troubleshoot in order to find cause of the error and fix the problem. The candidate will also need to preemptively recognize production variances and make adjustments to avoid errors.

This position calls for a candidate who can work, autonomously, with little to no supervision. With the experience necessary to manage the position, the candidate should be able to maintain the low volume production with confidence.
