Are you looking for a great Career opportunity in Southern Maine.  We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer with Design background with a Fortune 500 company.  This position is responsible for directing the development of design concepts, layouts and other engineering documentation for various system elements working with Project Managers, Structural Engineers, Process Engineers, other Designers and Manufacturing staff to assure designs meet customer expectations, performance criteria and cost targets.  You will be required to perform basic design and structural analysis of system elements and components to ensure that designs meet application criteria for static loading, dynamic loading and service life. The ability to work with Structural engineers to provide calculations and verification.  Managing design hours, budgets and other engineering activities to assure assigned engineering work is completed on time and within established budgets.  Good leadership skills for projects which are medium to large in size and complexity that need.   You will provide direct engineering support to our Customers, including design development, field measurements and engineering liaison in coordination with the Project Managers.   Utilizes existing designs, design standards, drafting standards and CAD practices so project costs are reduced, lead times are shortened and manufacturing issues are minimized.  Assists Project Managers in the preparation of Operation and Maintenance Manuals and development of universally acceptable design and drafting standards which are accurate and easily implemented by both internal and external customers.
