NDT (Non Destructive Testing) Specialist Level III
Description:
Evaluate metallurgical failure analysis reports to identify failure mechanism.
Establish inspection techniques to find defect mechanisms.
Construction inspection procedures and essential variables.
Transfer inspection technology developed in the lab to field service personnel.
Read and interpret various sections of the AMSE Section V code for procedural compliance.
Verify ultrasonic weld inspection coverage using AutoCAD to plot our weld configurations and sound paths.
Assemble and deliver technical presentations on inspection capabilities.
Assist in probability of detection (POD) studies.
Minimum requirements:
Certifiable to Level III in ALL of the following methods: MT, PT, VT and UT.
Advanced UT experience required. Automated and phased array required.
Ability to read and interpret various sections of the ASME Section V code.
Up to 5 years experience in boiler & power plant inspections or nuclear power.
Aptitude for managing multiple small projects.
Significant (domestic and international) travel will be required (50-60%).
