Internal Production Supervisors will generate Purchase Orders for products needed. The contractor for this position will be working with suppliers to verify that shipments are going to meet the scheduled delivery dates and the appropriate quantities of product, or if needed, to make changes to product and delivery dates. Will also have daily team meetings to review latest supply needs and to understand the milestone plans in order to meet the deadlines. Need to be creative, detail oriented and aggressive to work with suppliers to meet the demands of shipment. Will also be presenting updates/ideas in the daily meetings, so must be comfortable presenting in larger groups (10-15 people). The end client is the US Military and there are several different products to be ordered. Mainly working with products for Fixed Wing and Helicoptors - Electronic displays for cockpits. Terminology/understanding of electronics would be very helpful. There may be some travel to meet with suppliers (which could be overnight/flying travel). This is minimal, but the need may come up, so flexibility in travel is necessary.
