Sanitation Manager – Southern NH
Summary:
This position will oversee all 3rd shift activities, including Sanitation/Set-up, Production activities and any Maintenance or Warehouse activities. This includes the timely and efficient preparation, sanitation, and maintenance of all production equipment and production related areas to meet and/or exceed quality control specifications and governmental regulations. This will also include the management of extended production related activities, management of production teams, and the efficient achievement of production schedules in accordance with all corporate, FDA, USDC, and other regulatory guidelines.
Specific Accountabilities:
Efficient and timely cleaning & sanitizing of production equipment and areas.
Set up and adjustment of production equipment to meet forthcoming production requirements.
Removal of stored equipment unnecessary for forthcoming production.
A considerable contribution to the corporate objective of profitability by managing operating costs, to within budgetary limitations.
Responsible for ordering all cleaning chemicals, utilization of correct chemicals at proper strengths and maintaining all cleaning equipment.
Continuous Improvement to, and stay abreast of, sanitation policies, products and procedures.
Maintaining proper records to meet OSHA, FDA and customer requirements.
Managers are responsible for developing the proper attitudes towards safety and health.
This position is responsible for the proper disassembly, cleaning, sanitizing and maintenance/set-up of all equipment.
Job Specifications:
B.S. or B.A. degree and a minimum of 5 years experience in either the quality or sanitation field with a food manufacturing company.
Basic understanding of Waste Water Treatment or a waster water operator permit/certification.
Knowledge in Government Regulatory requirements to include OSHA, HACCP, FDA, USDA, and USDC are critical.
Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and SPC highly desirable.
