CNC Machinist - 3rd shift - needed for Pompano Beach, FL!
Summary: Operates all multi-axis CNC milling and lathe machine to mill or turn surfaces
of metallic or polymer workpieces by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Inserts workpiece in machine spindle, and secures the workpiece by properly placing it in the jaw
or spindle with key.
Retracts spindle and loads and secures first preset tool and holder.
Starts machine and observes cutting operation.
Compares completed workpiece with blueprint with regards to specific metric measurements
based on pre-determined inspection cycle for the product.
Alerts lead of any non-compliant completed workpiece prior to continuing production.
Accurately completes required quality and production control documents.
May replace milling tools with drilling and boring tools at specified change points to reduce or
eliminate subsequent machining of workpiece on another machine.
Repeats the operation of the machine to complete the job order.
Notifies lead of any unusual occurrences with the machine, tooling or workpiece.
Follows all safety procedures regarding the proper operation of the machine.
Performs other duties as may be required or assigned.

Successfully mastered all Machinist B-Level skills for Mills and Lathes
CNC Machine Set Up
_ Set up and indicate jaws
_ Select the insert for each application
_ Adjust offsets for tools and to avoid crashing machine
_ Interpret program coordinates and how they relate to the zero location of the jaws
_ Select a program from the directory and download to machine
Preset Tools
_ Check for tool wear and breakage
_ Can change tools
_ Pre set tools
CMM Operations
_ Learn to use the CMM and interpret results

Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); five or
more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and
experience.
Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and
memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in oneon-
one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using
whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to make precise measurements in a
Metric scale.
Reasoning Ability to interpreter blueprints to verify product. Ability to apply common
sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to
deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
Basic computer skills.

Must be able to operate all CNC mills and lathes as well as other shop equipment

3rd shift is 10:00PM – 6:30AM
Pay - $12.96-19.44/hr heavily based on experience
6-12 month contract with possibility of going perm.
