Adecco Engineering and Technical is currently recruiting for an Engine Support Specialist job located in Renton, WA. You must have some experience (work, military, personal, etc) with automotive engines. You must also be a quick learner and have good communication skills. In this position you will provide rapid and accurate technical and diagnostic support to dealer technicians on engines insuring that customers vehicle are back on the road as quickly as possible. You will also analyze data and customer complaints. This is a temporary-to-hire position.

Engine/Customer Support Specialist job responsibilities include:
-- Analyze log file data and customer complaints.
-- Interpret technicians’ previous trouble shooting results to provide rapid and accurate technical and diagnostic support as well as detailed written updates using electronic data base.
-- Escalate as appropriate complicated or new systems to field service engineers, advanced diagnostic engineering, technical document specialists, customer service managers, and internal management team.
-- Provide detailed documentation to appropriate division on product improvements. Assist in testing and verifying diagnostic information. Identify gaps or inaccurate information. Report as appropriate customers concerns and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
-- Travel as required to dealer and or customer locations with field service engineers to solve complicated technical issues.
-- Provide software support on engine applications that require special approvals, additional research or regulated by government agencies. Provide instructions and updates to dealer technicians on these situations.

QUALIFICATIONS:
-- You must have some experience (work, military, personal, etc) with automotive engines.
-- Engine troubleshooting and repair experience preferred, or 5 years experience as a general technician.
-- Must have demonstrated mechanical and technical skills to insure capability of maintaining technical certifications.
-- Knowledge of industry diagnostic tools and current Environmental Protection Agency requirements including on-board diagnostics.
-- Must have experience interpreting electrical diagrams with comprehensive understanding or electrical theory and circuitry.
-- Be able to work under limited supervision and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
-- Be able to handle multiple tasks and produce high quality high volume output.
-- Have strong PC skills including Microsoft applications.
-- Be able to understand complex electrical and mechanical systems with ability to diagnosis inefficiencies in these systems
-- Must have strong customer service and negotiation skills.
-- Must have strong team-oriented behavior.
-- Must have willingness to work in 24/7 environment with changing schedules and requirements.
