The IT Client Manager serves as the liaison/single point of contact between the client and business unit clients using services provided.
The IT Client Manager acts as the primary point of contact for business units, investigates client needs, recommends solutions, facilitates and/or drives collaborative efforts and projects, and implements solutions to deliver IT services.
Manages the relationship with the internal customer and identifies, analyzes and resolves infrastructure issues.
IT Client Manager is focused on the coordination and collaboration of infrastructure systems; Business Systems Analysts and IT Project Management jobs are applications focused.
Primarily acts in a supporting role to more senior team members.
Gathers information; answers basic questions regarding IT Client Management processes and tools; and creates reports, analyzes data, and tracks trends. Facilitate resource allocation and support business projects from CITG.
Facilitate hardware and software purchase requests for business projects by gathering data and making recommendations to more senior team members.
Makes proactive technical recommendations in support of business initiatives.
Organize and maintain information resources for the business assigned to the Client Manager.
Collaborate with project managers to develop and manage project plans and schedules
Proficient with project management tools, process support tools & MS Windows.
Familiar with the ITIL Service Management standards and implementation processes.
Conceptual understanding of multiple IT disciplines such as IT infrastructure, hardware support, data center and network operations, application development and information security principles.
Must demonstrate understanding of technology business processes based on experience with service delivery, change management practices, process flow analysis, and methodology development.
Project Management skills with cross functional and matrixed teams desired. Develop a basic knowledge of the Client Management tools and processes such as Cost Model, chargeback and Incident Management process
Generally requires BS Degree in business administration, engineering, computer science, information systems or other relevant discipline; or equivalent work experience. ITIL certifications a plus.
Typically has 1-3 years experience in IT client management, account/project management, or other equivalent experience involving Service Support and/or Service Delivery.
Works on standard problems where analysis of situations or data may require a review of a variety of factors.
Available to contact in case of service interruption for their client.
Working off hours to coordinate offshore activities.
Limited weekend availability for testing and activities impacting their client.
Ability to adapt to rapidly changing conditions and priorities.
Microsoft Project, Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint; Process support tools include service desk applications (Heat or Tech-Excel); Workflow management software include Tracker, Track-It, IT Governance, TeamTracks, Rational; Collaborative tools such as Microsoft Live Communication, Collabnet.
