Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for an Applications Support Engineer/Linux Systems Admin on assignment with a leading Internet company in Mountain View, CA.
In this role, Applications Support Engineer will play an important role in client's operation as their ability to accurately identify, troubleshoot and report software problems is key. Application Support Engineers will help improve current scripts and develop new ones to make troubleshooting easier and more robust.

Responsibilities:
● Support the iterative improvement of software reliability and uptime Analyse PC field issues and
provide Software and hardware technical support to field operators
● Create tools via shell script to make processes more efficient
Requirements:
BS in Engineering or other technical area required.
Knowledge of Linux or Unix required and shell scripting.
At least 2 years of experience in System Administration and/or Troubleshooting.
Basic knowledge of Python and C/C++ programming skills
Understanding of LAN/WAN environments, TCP/IP, LDAP, NFS, DNS, DHCP, MTAs, Active Directory, etc is a plus
Likely will not need to travel. However, candidate must be willing to travel on short notice if necessary.
